He won't offend even a visitor who came to sit and discuss All Souls.

A handy helper from Orava - the Orava SL-150 electric hand mixer - will serve you well for whipping cream and snow into the cake body.

Portions: 10

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Model time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

Body: 8 eggs, 200 g granulated sugar, 160 g plain flour, 50 g butter, 50 g ground walnuts, 40 g cocoa, 2 KL vanilla extract, ½ KL cinnamon

Cream: 500 g mascarpone, 200 g chocolate, 100 g butter, 200 g powdered sugar

For decoration: 200 g cooking chocolate, 120 g butter, 50 g milk chocolateečnej čokolády

How to do it:

  1. Start with the cream: Beat the sugar with the butter. Add mascarpone and cooled melted chocolate. Put the mixture in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  2. Separate the egg whites and beat them together with granulated sugar. Mix the yolks with vanilla extract and cinnamon. Then lightly work this mixture into the snow. Mix the flour, nuts and cocoa and work the loose mixture very lightly into the egg yolks and snow. Finally, add the melted butter.
  3. Pour the dough into two cake form greased with fat and sprinkled with flour. Bake at a temperature of 170 0C for about 40 minutes.
  4. Leave the baked bodies to cool and only then remove them from the form. Coat one with one half of the cream, place the other body on it. Apply the other half of the cream to the top and sides of the body. Spread it with a knife until the surface is as smooth as possible. Place the body in the refrigerator for an hour.
  5. In the meantime, melt the dark chocolate with butter (100 g) and separately also the white chocolate with butter (20 g). Cover the cooled cake with dark frosting. Using a coffee spoon, spread the white frosting on top of the cake in the shape of circles - from the smallest in the centre to the largest on the edge. Using a skewer or toothpick, create a web by pulling the end of the skewer from the centre outward across the circles. Let the cake harden again in the cold. Serve after setting! The goodness alone will make your blood run cold.
