Who doesn't love waffles? With fruit or whipped cream, drizzled with maple syrup, or simply dusted with powdered sugar, they are every child's breakfast dream. Sneak some healthy kefir into them and serve them with berries or with cottage cheese and figs. The Orava W-01 waffle maker, which can make up to 5 adorable heart-shaped waffles at once, will help you with their preparation.

Ingredients (for 4 servings): 250 g kefir, 200 g all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons cane sugar, 50 g ghee butter, 2 eggs, 1 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp baking soda, pinch of salt, 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cane sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, add the kefir, melted ghee butter, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  3. Gradually stir the kefir mixture into the dry ingredients until a smooth batter without lumps is formed.
  4. Preheat the waffle maker and grease it with oil or butter.
  5. Pour the batter onto the waffle maker, close it, and bake until golden brown for 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Serve the hot waffles immediately with a generous portion of fresh fruit, cottage cheese, maple syrup, and everything else you love on waffles.

Instructions: Mash the avocado with a fork, drizzle with lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Spread the mixture on the toast, top with chicken meat and spinach. Cover the prepared toast with a second slice and bake in the toaster. Serve it warm with any vegetables you find in the fridge (tomato, cucumber, bell pepper...).

Children love hot dogs – when they add ketchup, it's the greatest delicacy in the world. Try to sneak in some chopped pickles or radishes. For the hot dog, make them a soft-boiled, hard-boiled, or medium-boiled egg – and you can do it conveniently by steaming it in a single appliance, the Orava HM-04 hot dog maker with an egg preparation function. This hearty breakfast combo will fill them up all morning. It also works as a school snack.

Healthy Juices from Orava

Healthy smoothie juices

Hydration is a must! Juice up a healthy drink full of vitamins from fruit and vegetables for your children for breakfast and for school snack. Throw everything you find at home into the drink – oranges and a little ginger, or apple and carrot... or try recipes that can also be helpful for health problems. Use the Orava Taurus-3 Mini low-speed juicer for juicing. Juicing at low speeds has many advantages over high-speed juicing. With slow juicing, the auger grinder of the juicer grinds the fruit and vegetables like a meat grinder, thus obtaining a larger amount of thicker juice from nature's bounty, which contains up to 10x more biologically active substances compared to regular juice from a high-speed juicer. The juice also has a higher fiber content, is thicker, and richer in aroma. Since low speeds produce less heat during juicing, heat-sensitive substances such as vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants are not destroyed in the juice. The juice oxidizes less and stays fresh longer. Compared to juice obtained from a high-speed juicer, which is recommended to be drunk immediately, this one can be stored without a change in taste and quality in the refrigerator for 24 to 72 hours.
