There are various ways to juice fruits and vegetables. Most commonly, we use centrifugal juicers, which extract juice at high speeds. Recently, however, very practical slow juicers have become popular on the market — including our latest innovation, the Orava Taurus-3 mini slow screw juicer, compact in size but packed with the power to extract juice from fruits and vegetables.

Juicing at low speeds has many advantages over high-speed juicing. With slow juicing, the screw auger crushes the fruits and vegetables much like a meat grinder, extracting a greater amount of thicker juice that contains up to 10x more biologically active compounds compared to juice from a standard centrifugal juicer. Additionally, the juice has a higher fiber content, is thicker, and richer in aroma. Since low-speed juicing generates less heat, heat-sensitive nutrients are preserved — including vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants.

The juice oxidizes more slowly and stays fresh longer. Unlike juice from a high-speed juicer, which should be consumed immediately, this juice can be stored in the refrigerator for 24 to 72 hours without losing taste or quality.

Moreover, slow juicers are quieter than high-speed centrifugal models, so you can juice even in the evening without disturbing your neighbors.
